Summer Special Occasion Look

After my everyday make up post a couple of you asked for a demonstration of the kind of make up I wear at night or for special events. Although I do sometimes experiment with new colours or techniques, for most occasions I just pick from a little repertoire of tried and tested looks, none of which require more than one or two extra products. I usually swap my tinted moisturiser for a medium-coverage foundation without SPF, do my brows and cheeks as normal and then add either a brighter colour, a bit more definition or texture. I mainly go by what I'm wearing that day/night but I also have seasonal favourites, for example berry lips and rosy cheeks in the winter.

My current go-to look is a light wash of Kryolan's Satin Powder in SP 555, a bronzy copper shade on my lids. The colour is very shimmery so I usually skip the mascara and use a light hand to apply a matte blush, to make it more modern.
